20 Days of Bruce Hornsby

I’m excited to announce we are 1 week away from the “20 days of Bruce” launch on www.bruuuce.com website. Since 1998, Si Twining has been designing, sharing, and operating the largest Bruce Hornsby fan site on the web. He’s developed many projects over the years to raise money for charity.  With 3 weeks of free concert downloads, 24 hours of rare performances for Daily Dose,  and the 5th Bruce Hornsby cover album, I believe he’s outdone himself this year for the Hornsby community.

In the past “Daily dose” was always my favorite time of year because I’d get to download rare live performances from Bruce Hornsby that had not been produced or released to the public! I would also get to hear other artists perform my favorite Hornsby songs though the cover album projects he cordinates. Si, searches for talented musicians from all around the globe and asks them to record a rendition of their favorite Hornsby song.

Raising money for Charity

Over the years, Si has been able to raise over $18000 though these programs and I’m looking to help him set a new record this year in donations.  Between June 6 until June 25 visit bruuuce.com website to download live performances of Bruce’s entire Yoshi’s residence (twenty different shows). As always, the downloads will be available for free, with absolutely no obligation to give any money! Any donations will go towards these outstanding organizations.

• the Merlin Centre for Multiple Sclerosis Care

• the ALS Association for Lou Gehrig’s Disease

• TWLOHA – “To Write Love On Her Arms”, an organisation dedicated to finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

What to expect during “20 days of Bruce”

• contests and giveaways – some of the prizes, including some great memorabilia

• the sixth Daily Dose Day! (new daily dose every hour for 24 hours)

• a fifth cover project for download

• Request Friday – Si will post your song requests for download from his extensive archive

• the Dream Setlist project – the end result will go up for download
